Sip on this yummy fall cocktail, Apple Cider Bourbon Cocktail. The easy 5 ingredient recipe is sweet, tart & festive for holidays. Great for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any chilly Autumn day.
2ouncesbourbonBulleit, Jim Beam, Knob Creek, Maker's Mark, etc.
½ouncesimple syrup(1 tablespoon for easy measuring)
1lemoncut in half
1teaspooncinnamon sugar
icecrushed or cubed
cinnamon stick, slice of lemon or appleoptional garnishes

Instructions
Take a whiskey glass or low ball cocktail glass, roll the rim in water on a small plate. Then dip into cinnamon and sugar poured onto a second plate. Spin glass to cover the rim evenly. Fill half of a low ball or whiskey glass with ice.
1 teaspoon cinnamon sugar, ice
To the glass add the remaining ingredients plus the juice of half a lemon. Stir to chill in the ice.
3 ounces apple cider, 2 ounces bourbon, ½ ounce simple syrup, 1 lemon
Garnish with a slice of lemon, apple, or cinnamon stick. Sip & Enjoy!

Notes
WANT A WARM VERSION: For a cozy cocktail, mix the bourbon, cider, and simple syrup together in a small saucepan on the stove over medium-low heat for 3 minutes. Turn off the heat, add in the lemon juice and stir. Serve in mugs with the cinnamon sugar rim. Check for temperature to be sure it is ok to sip. SUBSTITUTIONS:
Use maple syrup instead of simple syrup for even more fall vibes.
Apple cider is key for this, apple juice is not recommended but can be an "emergency replacement".
