Ingredients

4 slices Crusty Artisan Bread ciabatta, sourdough, etc
4 tablespoons salted butter
1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
8 fresh figs washed & diced into chunks
2 tablespoons pistachios chopped
4 tablespoons hot honey

Instructions

NOTE: slices of bread may vary in size; therefore, exact amounts of each ingredient may not be exact. Add more or use less depending on how big your bread slices/toast is.
Begin by toasting each slice of bread to your liking - light, medium, or dark. Immediately butter one side of each toast slice.
4 slices Crusty Artisan Bread, 4 tablespoons salted butter
Spoon and spread ¼ cup of ricotta cheese on each buttered toast.
1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
Top each with 2 figs diced & sprinkle on ½ tablespoon of chopped nuts.
8 fresh figs, 2 tablespoons pistachios
The final step is to drizzle the hot honey over the top. (about a tablespoon each)
4 tablespoons hot honey
Enjoy immediately!

Notes

VARIATIONS:

HONEY - use regular if you don't like spicy.
RICOTTA - try small curd cottage cheese as a substitute
FIGS - dried figs work also
PISTACHIOS - omit if you have a nut allergy or substitute with sunflower seeds for crunch without the nuts.
