This easy recipe for Deep-Fried Oreos is like your favorite summer carnival, amusement park, or fair treat. The battered dessert or snack is the best hot cookie sweet. The golden batter & gooey cream filled chocolate sandwich cookie combo is crazy yummy.
2cupsKrusteaz pancake mixor other pancake mix that needs water only

Instructions
In a medium-sized pot add oil so it comes up ⅓ the way up the sides. Heat on medium-high until it comes to temperature. While it is warming up, start the batter.

In a medium mixing bowl add the pancake mix and water. Whisk until smooth and there are no visible lumps. It will be thick.
2 cups Krusteaz pancake mix, 1 cup water
Once the oil reaches 375°F, it is time to start dunking and frying!
Add 1 -2 Oreos at a time to the batter and coat on both sides.

Carefully add each battered cookie it to the hot oil using tongs or a slotted spoon. Let it cook until golden brown on each side - about 1 minute per side.
Use the slotted spoon or tongs to remove each fried Oreo from the oil carefully. Place on a plate lined with a paper towel. Let the oil drain from each as you continue dipping & cooking the remaining cookies.
Repeat until all the cookies are coated, fried, & draining on the paper towels.
Plate & dust with powdered sugar if desired. Enjoy while warm & fresh.

Substitutions/Variations
Use Gluten-Free Oreos & pancake mix if needed for allergy reasons.
Try any flavor Oreo such as mint, double stuf, peanut butter, etc.
Use Hydrox or Trader Joe's JoJo brands or any cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookie.
Make your own pancake batter or use other brands of mixes like Bisquick, Pearl Milling, or Great Value (simply make per the label instructions)
