Toasted bread topped with fresh figs, creamy brie cheese, & spicy hot honey is the ultimate recipe. Fig & Brie Bruschetta is a gourmet-tasting appetizer that is quick & easy to make. The Italian-inspired small plate, snack, or lunch is sweet, savory, sticky, & sensational.
With the garlic side facing up, toast the bread in a toaster oven or under your oven broiler. You want it on medium heat to toast for 2-3 minutes or until the edges just start to turn golden brown.
When toasts are done, arrange them on a serving platter with toasted side up. Let them cool while prepping the other items.
Wash and dry the fresh figs. Remove the stems and trim off the bottom. Next, slice the fig into slices horizontally of even thickness.Slice the brie into even slices that are similar in size to the width of the bread slices. The small edges with rind are perfectly safe to eat. I leave them on but you may trim them & remove them if desired.
