    Sunshine Blogger Award

It has been less than 3 months since I officially launched my blog and I have learned so much and love the blogging community already.  Then to be nominated by one of my peers for the Sunshine Blogger Award, just reinforces how wonderful this community truly is. Thanks so much, @thyme_free of Free Thyme Living for nominating me. She is an inspiring blogger with some yummy recipes and words to live by! Please check out her blog for yourself! https://freethymeliving.com  Her Friday’s Favorite Feel Good Quotes are the best way to finish my week!

So What is the Sunshine Blogger Award?

The Sunshine Blogger Award is given by bloggers to fellow bloggers who inspire positivity and creativity in the blogging community.

Anyone can nominate their favorite blog and let them know via social media. It’s all about supporting the blogging community and sharing the love throughout the internet.

Rules of the Sunshine Blogger Award

Rule 1 – Thank the person who nominated you, provide a link back to their blogging sites.

Rule 2 – Answer the questions.

Rule 3 – Nominate 11 other bloggers and ask them 11 new questions.

Rule 4 – Notify the nominees about their nomination via their blog or social media.

Rule 5 – List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post. (each should create their own so there are no copyright issues)

    My Q&A

    • If you could feature an interview with a celebrity (past or present) on your blog, whom would you choose, and why?
        • Anthony Bourdain - He has inspired me from the first chapter of reading Kitchen Confidential all those years ago. My love for food and travel has been part of my life since as long as I can remember and putting those together with pen and paper was magical to me. To then move to television and really reach out to so many in an expression of love for all cultures, community, and food - the legacy that I hope lives on forever. I met him once and saw him speak a year before he left this world - he is missed.
    • What is your favorite app on your smartphone or tablet? How do you use it?
        • COZI - calendar for everything in my busy world. With 3 kids, husband, dog, FT day job, social events, and PT blog job - someplace has to hold all my info. If it crashes, oh no!!!
    • What was your most embarrassing moment?
        • I lost my bathing suit top while tubing while I was a teen.  Found it quickly thankfully and tied it on tight as the plastic hook was broken.
    • What is your least favorite household chore?
        • Socks!  They never come out of the laundry in pairs. I know this is common but it is another reason I love summer - less sock wearing.
    • If you could choose a superpower to possess, what would it be, and why?
        • If you do not know already what I possess, be very afraid!
    • What would you choose as your last meal if you had only one meal left to enjoy in life?
        • All the stuff that I usually stay away from for health/gluten reasons - so I would want Fried Chicken, sourdough bread and lots of butter, a very dirty vodka martini with a lot of olives & lemon meringue pie.
    • What is the toughest part about blogging for you?
        • Finding time!
    • If you won the lottery, what would be the first frivolous or irresponsible item you would purchase?
        • Depends how much, winning $1mill in California doesn’t go far? So if it was $100Mill I would start looking for a beach house and/or a home in Italy! Maybe send my kids to college, priorities, right?
    • What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
        • Do not decide too fast, try it for a bit and then decide.
    • If you could place your office anywhere in the world, where would you work? Describe your ideal office view?
        • Rome, overlooking the Pantheon.  I would like a cappuccino ready for me each morning and pizza and gelato delivered daily at 1 pm. A small ask I am sure.
    • What would you attempt if fear or failure were not considerations?
        • Broadway!
