Start your holiday with a gorgeous glass of this Prosecco Christmas Cocktail. This Christmas morning mimosa has 4 ingredients for this fruity, sweet-tart, & fancy cocktail. The perfect way to celebrate the holiday with family & friends.
Having a fun bubbly beverage on Christmas morning can add to the festive and holiday spirit. Mimosas made with Prosecco are a great bright way to start off the day with a toast and to let the fun begin.
The ruby red pomegranate added to classic orange juice makes this a holiday favorite. This brunch mimosa cocktail with pomegranate is wonderful with Cinnamon Roll Pie - what says Christmas more than pie for breakfast?

This pomegranate mimosa recipe is easy, gorgeous, and tasty. It can be made with or without orange juice if you want a non-traditional champagne mimosa recipe. Instead of just traditional orange juice and champagne, this mimosa recipe includes the bright, tart, and slightly sweet juice of pomegranates.
Ingredients for Christmas Mimosas
This fizzy cocktail with sparkling white wine is simple to make. It only needs 4 ingredients to make the perfect combination of sweet, tart, refreshing, & bubbly. This unique mimosa does not have any cranberry juice like other recipes.
Here is what you need to pour a perfect mimosa for the holidays.
- Prosecco - sparkling white wine from Italy - Use your favorite, I love LaMarca. (Champagne can be substituted).
- Pomegranate Juice - use 100% for deep flavor & color.
- Orange Juice - I recommend no-pulp for a smooth drink.
- Pomegranate Seeds - a beautiful garnish & fun to eat with a burst of flavor & crunch in one.
See the recipe card for amounts & full instructions.
How to Make a Prosecco Christmas Cocktail
This could not be any easier and is the best winter mimosa recipe around. For many, opening the bottle of Champagne or Prosecco may prove to be the most difficult step. Once that is done it is simply a matter of pouring the right amounts of each juice and topping it with lovely pomegranate seeds.
Here are the steps for making a Christmas Cocktail with Prosecco:
- Open Champagne or Prosecco (see non-alcoholic version below)
- Fill glasses ¾ of the way
- Top with pomegranate juice and a splash of orange juice
- Sprinkle in a few pomegranate seeds and watch them dance on the top
Mocktail / Kid-Friendly Mimosa
No one wants to leave out the guests who do not drink alcohol. Having a zero-proof version ensures everyone is in the holiday spirit and can get in for that holiday toast. For a virgin cocktail, use 7-up or Sprite and you have a mocktail great for anyone, even the kids.
All you need is your favorite lemon-lime soda to swap out the Champagne or Prosecco.
- Open a can of Sprite or 7-Up
- Fill glasses ¾ of the way
- Top with pomegranate juice and a splash of orange juice
- Sprinkle in a few pomegranate seeds and watch them dance on the top
Have a lovely Christmas and enjoy this cocktail with friends and family for years to come. They will love this fragrant mimosa with hints of orange and beautiful red color from the pomegranates.
These mimosas would also be lovely for Valentine's Day, anniversaries, brunch with friends, and the 4th of July. For another delicious mimosa, try a Pomegranate Mimosa with a different juice combination but just as yummy.

FAQ
The sparkling white wine is lovely to serve for any holiday. Christmas traditionally is a celebration all day & which is why I love turning it into a mimosa to enjoy first thing in the morning. You can also enjoy it later in the day in a glass by itself or drop in some fresh fruit. Or pour Prosecco over sherbet at the end of the day for a dessert cocktail.
Just about any fruit juice goes well with this Italian sparkling white wine. If you want to substitute the pomegranate or orange juice in this recipe, try grapefruit, cranberry, peach, or any berry.
