Use a Blender, Not a Juicer
To make banana juice at home, you will need a blender. You cannot make this recipe with an electric or handheld juicer. The dense nature of bananas means they have no juice or liquid to extract so a juicer does not work.

Hint: use a blender that has a single-serving cup - it's great for blending & on-the-go drinks like this. The Ninja Professional Smoothie Maker/Blender is my recommendation. It blends wells, can crush ice perfectly, & all at a great economical price.

FAQ
Here are answers to some common questions. I hope you find what you need but if not, you are always welcome to send me a comment and I will get back to you.
You cannot traditionally juice a banana. This recipe is made with a blender & a juicer will not work. This is because bananas do not contain juice or water like other fruits such as oranges & apples.
To get a smooth creamy drink, the blender is best. However, in a pinch, you can add the ingredients to a food processor & use a high speed to chop/combine them together. An immersion blender will also work if you put the ingredients in a tall wide container leaving plenty of space to blend & not splatter.

Banana Juice Recipe
Equipment
- Blender
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- ½ cup apple juice
Instructions
- Gather the ingredients and plug in your blender. Remove the lid for the cup or blender jar.
- Add peeled banana to the blender container. Top it with apple juice.
- Place the lid on the blender cup/jar & lock it in place. Using the highest speed to blend on your machine, blend the juice for 1 minute. It should be smooth without any chunks when it is done.
- Pour into a glass or drink it directly out of the blender cup if you are using a single-serving style.Enjoy banana juice immediately while it is freshly blended.
Notes
- Do not make this ahead of time. Enjoy once blended & do not store for later. It will separate and oxidize (turn brown) as it sits (like fresh apples and bananas do when exposed to air).
- Creamy or calcium added - replace apple juice with milk.
- Replace apple juice with water for less calories and sugar.
- Thick - use less apple juice and more banana
- Thinner - add more apple juice until desired consistency
