Best Keto Snacks on the Go

Keto fans that have a sweet tooth or crave something crunchy and salty, I got you covered.  For me, the hardest part of staying on track is the snacks.  Is that you too?  The meals are easy and planned ahead but when life gets busy, grabbing something can ruin your ketosis if you are not careful. Amazon really helps and often can get you snacks in just 2 days when you want to make sure you behave and feel satisfied.

The key to sticking to anything is being prepared.  Whether you want to call it a diet, a lifestyle, or a way of eating, ketogenic snacks will help you get through the tough times so you can stay on track.  The only way a ketogenic diet works is if you do NOT cheat.  That means having high-fat snacks on hand that are also very low in carbohydrates. Staying in ketosis is the only way a ketogenic will work.  Ketosis is Key!!

Some of my favorite keto snacks are shown above and listed below. Choczero makes great chocolate including their squares for a mini sweet impulse bite.  Pork rinds and meat sticks are always a great way to get more fat in your diet easily.  Crunchy cheese snacks are also a bonus when you want something to munch on.

What is Ketosis?

Ketosis is a metabolic state when the body burns fat for energy because it does not have enough carbohydrates to burn. When carbohydrates are drastically cut from the diet and replaced with fat and protein, ketosis can be achieved. During ketosis, the liver produces chemicals called ketones. Ketones “spill” from the liver when there are no sugars to turn into energy.


How to Start a Ketogenic Diet?

The ketogenic diet works by inducing ketosis in order to burn more fat while ensuring optimal energy. To begin a keto diet, reaching ketosis and maintaining that metabolic state is of the utmost importance. If you cheat, the body shifts to a slower metabolic state (ie, slow metabolism) and does not continue to burn fat at the rate needed for weight loss and health.

Removing high carbohydrate foods from your home and your daily routine is key.  Buying high fat, high protein, and calorie-dense food will ensure you do not go hungry and stay in ketosis.  That includes a need for snacking, especially when you are on the go.  Meals and snacks should be high in fat and low in carbohydrates.

Whether you want sweet, savory, crunchy, chewy, or all of the above the best snacks to buy I often find on Amazon.  I like being able to read the reviews and find out what I may be willing to try or just skip over.
