This is honestly a must-have cocktail recipe whenever I camp. It is so easy to make and the garnishes are fun to nibble on too. Since I tend to pack fresh veggies as a snack for the kids, there isn't much extra to pack when making these.
How to Make a Bloody Mary while Camping
This recipe elevates the store-bought Bloody Mary mix. Buy your favorite brand and follow this recipe to make it even better. These tips make 3 cocktails.
- 2 cups (16 oz) Bloody Mary Mix
- 4 shots vodka
- 1 lime - juice half & wedges for the other ½
- 2 stalks celery
- 2 pickle spears & brine
- Hot sauce to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Ice
Fill large mugs or glasses ½ way up with ice. In a cocktail shaker add 4 ice cubes, Bloody Mary mix, vodka, lime juice, 1 shot of pickle brine, hot sauce, & black pepper to taste.
Shake for 15 seconds. Using the strainer on the mixer, pour into the 2 prepared glasses with ice. Add a celery stalk and pickle spear to each glass. Enjoy!

Here is all you need for this fancy-sounding drink that is so simple to make. You may already be packing cola & limes so don't forget the rum. This is a good low-carb drink too if using diet cola.
- 4 parts Coca-Cola or Diet Coke
- 2 parts rum
- lime juice & wedge
- ice
Fill a glass ½ way with ice. Add the two other ingredients and stir to combine. Squirt a bit of lime juice & garnish with a wedge.
Beer or Wine Cocktails
Not a hard alcohol fan, but that is ok. These recipes where beer or wine is the star are vacation-worthy.
Red Wine Spritzer
Add some pizazz to your favorite red wine with some soda water. This bubbly drink is delightful. You will feel like you are at a spa retreat with this in your hand. (can use white wine too if that is your game)
White Wine Mojito
Lime & mint add so much to your favorite bottle of white wine. Add some bubbly with club soda & this cool cocktail cannot be beaten. It is great when you are outside in hot weather and don't want something too strong or boozy.
Beermosa Recipe
If you love a screwdriver but don't want vodka, this is the drink for you. Use your favorite lager or light beer for this recipe. Then add some orange juice for a cocktail worthy of any campfire moment morning or night.
- 12 oz can or bottle lager/light beer
- 4 oz orange juice
Slowly pour the beer into a tall glass or large mug. Add the orange juice & stir lightly to combine without making too much foam.
